Connect Transform Sustain (CTS)

Connect Transform Sustain (CTS) is a facilities management company; our mission is to establish lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance by every member of our team. We have around 124 directly employed employees to delivery our goals.
Motivation for Living Wage Accreditation
We believe that by providing our employees with the Living Wage benefits the business and will motivate our staff whereby productivity will improve along with a happier workforce. We hope that this will increase our absenteeism and create loyalty. We hope that we can retain our staff and attract better candidates for upcoming positions who will benefit from this reward.
In addition, the company’s reputation will improve through the channels with our customers and clients. We believe that with increasing our staffs’ wages to the Living Wage will also support our local economy. We would hope that this positive increase in wages will enhance our security of new contracts.
Implementation Process
Firstly, we established who was on the minimum wage and once we clarified this, we moved to increase them to the Living Wage. We had our first meeting with Mary and Ruth on 10th July and after completing some tasks and duties with our sub-contractors we finally got over the line on 17th October 2025. We found the process had a clear path which we followed. We engaged with our sub-contractors as well as those employees that were affected and completed the necessary spread sheet in good time.
Additional Workplace Changes
No, we didn’t have any wider workplace changes to make!
Challenges and Barriers
To meet the accreditation requirement, we met some challenges mainly while dealing with our sub-contractors. We felt that while most of them were very helpful and committed to the same goals as ourselves others felt that we were intruding in their private business. Setting time aside for us as the administrator as it increased our workload.
Benefits of Living Wage Accreditation
The benefit to our organisation is that we have a clear picture on dealing with pay increases and a better structure to work with. The business will benefit from advertising positions as we can demonstrate that we a Living Wage provider and this will bring more candidates.
“I have noticed a big different within being paid the real living wage. As someone who is only starting her journey on working it has made a big difference within my life as I can budget where my money is going for groceries, fuel and to also budget for emergencies. Having the extra money means that even if I do budget for these things then I know that there is still extra money which gives me great peace of mind Thank you!”
