Advice NI launches Money Talks – a new online money management resource

Last month during #TalkMoney Week 2019 Advice NI launched a brand new online money management resource Money Talks.

Funded by the Department for Communities, this new section of the Advice NI website offers free money management guides for people living in Northern Ireland. While there are many resources online for financial information, Money Talks is unique as it provides Northern Ireland-specific guidance and links to various tools which are relevant to a Northern Ireland audience.

Money Talks offers information on a range of different topics including:
  • Bankruptcy
  • Benefits
  • Debt management
  • Mortgages and loans
  • Savings
  • Tax
It also links to several money saving tools that have been provided by organisations that work with Advice NI. These include mortgage and budgeting calculators and an energy price comparison tool which can help you to save money.

Every year thousands of people struggle with debt in Northern Ireland. Money Talks includes an interactive map allowing users to find an Advice NI debt adviser in their area.

Advice NI’s Debt Action service can be contacted on the Freephone helpline number 0800 028 1881, by email debt@adviceni.net or text ACTION to 81025 and an adviser will get in touch.

Advice NI will be developing Money Talks even further so keep an eye out for more money management content in 2020.

Money Talks is free and impartial and you can access it by going to www.adviceni.net/money-talks
