Seamus McAleavey was was CEO of NICVA from 1998 to January 2023 and led NICVA’s development through that period. He engaged with government Ministers from Direct Rule through devolution and the Northern Ireland Executive on policy and funding issues on behalf of the voluntary and community sector.
He was a member of formative initiatives like the Taskforce on Active Citizenship and the Carnegie Inquiry into the future of Civil Society. Seamus is currently a Trustee of Pivotal.
