Advice NI Members’ Day

Meeting with the Minister for Communities Carál Ní Chuilín

Image removed.At Advice NI’s Members’ Day on September 2nd, Communities Minister Carál Ní Chuilín met with our Chief Executive (Bob Stronge) and representatives from our membership. At the meeting, which took place over Zoom, the Minister acknowledged the ongoing work of Advice NI and the Independent Advice Network, particularly highlighting our continued response to the Covid 19 crisis.  
 
The Minister took time to place on record her thanks to all of the staff across the Independent Advice Network for their support and dedication. Their work has ensured that vulnerable individuals and families across Northern Ireland have continued access to free, confidential and independent advice and support.
 
During the meeting, Advice NI CEO, Bob Stronge, commented on how staff across the Independent Advice Network have been tremendous in the effort they have put in; patient in managing the change and complexities involved and diligent in ensuing that people are helped or directed towards the help they need. Bob went on to comment on how all staff have been working tirelessly, sometimes under very stressful circumstances and are continuing to deal with many people experiencing emotional and other difficulties as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
The day received great feedback from our members with around 40 attendees taking part in the discussions.
