Nobody in the Dark
Advice NI are teaming up with The Good Things Foundation and Clean Slate to help improve financial resilience. We want to give people the ability to withstand life events that can impact their income or assets.
- Did you know that only 61% of people in the UK have a bank account?
- Or that 39% of people in the UK have missed meals because they can’t afford to eat?
- Or that 42% of the population have turned off the heat to save money?
And unfortunately, all of these stats are worse for claimants of Universal Credit.
Advice NI are offering people a free and confidential session to help them take part in Clean Slate’s money health-check programme. This is designed to help you save money, go online and ensure you’re receiving everything you’re entitled to.
The programme will help individuals make small changes leading to big impacts in their financial life.
Anyone over the age of 18 can take part in this programme with a qualified and experienced Money & Debt Adviser from Advice NI – either on Zoom or over the phone if not online. The adviser will then follow up with action points and further resources.
Everyone taking part will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £25 shopping vouchers.
There are £16 billion of benefits going unclaimed in the UK each year, having a session with one of our advisers could ensure you are receiving anything you are entitled to.
