Wiseradviser: Understanding Debts & Courts in Northern Ireland

This skilled level course will enable you to understand the structures, jurisdiction, and procedures of courts in NI in relation to debt cases and bring this to life with a court visit. Whilst this course is not part of the Money and Pension Service (MaPS) accredited cluster. It is a pre-requisite for Skills for Effective Advocacy which is a requirement for Casework and Specialist MaPS accreditation. This course is accredited with OCNNI at Level 3.
Who Should Attend: 
Wiseradviser courses are appropriate to anyone currently working with vulnerable clients facing financial difficulties.
All Wiseradviser courses are FREE to organisations providing FREE and impartial money and debt advice. To find out if you qualify for FREE training contact wiseradviser@adviceni.net. However for accredited courses a £100 charge is applied for those seeking OCNNI accreditation. Accreditation is currently optional for OCN accredited courses but the paperwork must be completed for MaPS accreditation. We will invoice you for the course. Please note a late cancellation fee will apply to courses cancelled with less than 5 working days’ notice. Cancellation Policy Booked courses which are cancelled within 5 working days of the course start date will not be invoiced. Booked courses cancelled with less than 5 working days’ notice will be invoiced at a fee of £30 or 50% of the course fee, whichever is higher. Participants booked on FREE training who do not show up on the day, or do not cancel with at least 5 working days’ notice, will be charged a fee of £30.
CPD Hours: 
It is worth 9 CPD hours.
Education/Professional Framework: 
As explained above Wiseradviser training can enable participants to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the Money and Pension Service Advice (MaPS) Quality Framework for individuals.
This course is accredited with OCNNI at Level 4. (Endorsed Qualification). OCNNI accreditation is optional and an accreditation fee will apply (see fees above)
Additional Information: 
All attendees MUST book their place online at www.wiseradviser.org and NOT using the Advice NI booking form. A notification e-mail will be sent once a booking request is received. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail advising them of their course place. Should a place no longer be required it MUST be cancelled via the wiseradviser website (see cancellation policy).
