Wiseradviser: Supervision: Essential Skills and Best Practice

Advice NI is following COVID-19 guidance and has cancelled face to face training until further notice. This course will now run via the online Zoom platform and will be delivered as a live-online course from 10am-1pm. Access instructions will be sent to you after you sign up.This course provides an opportunity to explore the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required to be able to deliver effective supervision, in line with their agency standards, the Money and Pension Service standards and the NI Quality standards. This specialist level course is designed for Money Advice Supervisors, whether this comprises all or only part of their role. Course Objectives: By the end of this course you will be able to: 1. 1. Understand the skills and boundaries required to supervise money advisers 2. 2. Understand how to communicate with money advisers in a supervisory context 3. 3. Know how to problem solve when supervising money advisers.
Who Should Attend: 
Wiseradviser courses are appropriate to anyone currently working with vulnerable clients facing financial difficulties.
Fees: 
All Wiseradviser courses are FREE to organisations providing FREE and impartial money and debt advice. Participants who do not show up on the day, or do not cancel with at least 5 working days' notice, will be charged a fee of £30.
CPD Hours: 
This course is worth 4.5 CPD Points under the MaPS CPD Scheme. It is also worth 6 CPD Points under N
Education/Professional Framework: 
There is a Pre-Course Workbook to be completed before you attend the session. Completion of the Introduction to Providing Debt Advice (or equivalent) is required as a pre-requisite for this course. For further information see http://www.wiseradviser.org
