Wiseradviser: Individual Voluntary Arrangements: The Essential Guide

Topic outline Due to the recent developments with COVID-19 this course will now run via the online Zoom platform instead of face to face. It will be delivered on 18th May as an online live course from 9.30am-12.30pm. Access instructions will be sent to you after you sign up. In this course you will learn to identify when IVA’s are an appropriate insolvency option and when a referral to an insolvency practitioner should be made. This skilled level course will provide you with the ability to identify when an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is appropriate. It will explain the IVA procedures and enable you to make appropriate referrals to Insolvency Practitioners.
Who Should Attend: 
Wiseradviser courses are appropriate to anyone currently working with vulnerable clients facing financial difficulties.
Fees: 
All Wiseradviser courses are FREE to organisations providing FREE and impartial money and debt advice. To find out if you qualify for FREE training contact: wiseradviser@adviceni.net. Cancellation Policy Booked courses which are cancelled within 5 working days of the course start date will not be invoiced. Booked courses cancelled with less than 5 working days’ notice will be invoiced at a fee of £30 or 50% of the course fee, whichever is higher. Participants booked on FREE training who do not show up on the day, or do not cancel with at least 5 working days’ notice, will be charged a fee of £30.

Entry Requirements Completion of the Introduction to Providing Debt Advice Course (or equivalent) is required as a pre-requisite for this course. For further information see http://www.wiseradviser.org.
Accreditation: 
There are three levels to Wiseradviser training – Generalist Level (G) (provides basic principles of money advice), Skilled Level (S) (develops skills and knowledge of generalist money advisers), and Specialist Level (SP) (helps advisers deal with more complex cases). Successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail advising them of their course place.
