Mournes 7 peak challenge

3 members of Advice NI are going to complete the Mournes 7 peaks challenge all in aid of PIPS which deliver Suicide Prevention and Bereavement Support Services, Counselling and Therapies across Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland.

They are doing this to raise awareness and money for a small NI based charity that is mainly run by volunteers to help support people who are depressed and suicidal. To hopefully stop someone and their family going through the trauma of suicide

What is the challenge? The Mournes Mountains are 700m or more above sea level and it is a distance of approx.19 miles, the route starts with Slieve Donard, followed by Slieve Commedagh, Slieve Bearnagh, Slieve Meelmore, Slieve Meelbeg, Ben Crom Dam, Slieve Binnian, and Slieve Lamagan, then back to the finish in Donard Park – which is no mean feat!
