Additional Funding Secured for the Tax and Benefits Advice Project
We are pleased to announce that Advice NI has secured additional funding from HMRC to deliver our Tax and Benefits service until March 2016. The service will continue to be facilitated by 2 x Outreach Advisers and 2 x Telephony Advisers.
Additional to this the service has recently set up formal partnerships with the HMRC Needs Enhanced Support (NES) project team and the HMRC Voluntary Sector Taxes Resolution Service (VSTRS) in order to help ensure that hard to reach and vulnerable HMRC clients receive tailored support and quicker resolution to their issues.
The service will continue to provided targeted clients with information and advice on HMRC/Tax related queries, such as Tax Credits, PAYE, Self-Assessment, Child Care Costs, Child Benefit and National Minimum Wage.
The FREE, independent, confidential Tax and Benefits helpline is available:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 9am to 5pm
- Tuesday and Thursday – 9am to 7pm
The service is also delivered face to face through a range of venues across the province and actively welcomes client referrals from advisers/organisations that would require this type of specialist advice and support.

- Placing project posters in prominent areas of your office (can be requested from Advice NI)
