Appeals Advocate/Tribunal Representative

Community Advice Ards and North Down is recruiting a full-time Tribunal Advocate/appeals representative to join their appeals team to provide advice and representation at tribunal hearings

CAAND is a dynamic and growing independent advice agency. Formerly known as Citizen's Advice, they have 30 staff and 15 volunteers providing advice, help and support to all. CAAND has a specialist appeals team, which provides advice and representation at Social Security Tribunal hearings and Education Authority appeal hearings.

Last year (2022-23), The CAAND appeals team were successful with 85% of appeal cases. This generated an income for our clients of over £1.3 million.

Appeals Administrator

Community Advice Ards and North Down is also recruiting for a job share appeals administrator to provide administration duties to support a very busy appeals team. This is a job share post, working 20 hours per week. The other job share partner works 17 hours per week.

Both these posts are funded by The National Lottery and will initially be for a 3 year period (with possible extension, subject to funding.)
