Volunteer with Advice NI

We currently have two exciting volunteer roles available to work within our quality team. 

Policy Development Volunteer

As a Policy Development Volunteer, you will: 

  • Work with the Quality team to evaluate the policy and procedural needs of Advice NI services; 
  • Work with the Quality team to evaluate the policy and procedural needs of member organisations;
  • Assist in the creation of new policy guides for Advice NI members;
  • Assist in the creation of new quality based policy and procedural guides for Advice NI Advice teams;
  • Review existing quality based policies and procedure guides;
  • Help ensure that policies and procedures are fair, for individuals, the membership and the organisation as a whole;
  • Help ensure policies and procedures are written in a friendly, easily understood vocabulary;
  • You will be provided with resources to help you with this these include:
    • Internal training on policy development;
    • One to One support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Manager;
    • Ongoing support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Team;
    • Ongoing support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Sub Group;
  • Where relevant to your role, you will avail of online training and information provided by Advice NI and external organisations

We will provide ongoing training and support and can provide IT equipment for you to undertake the role.

Volunteer Quality Assessor

As a Quality Assessor Volunteer, you will: 

  • Work with the Quality team to Assess Adviser case work for Case File Reviews;
  • Assist the Quality Team in carrying out call listening and shadowing exercises with Advisers;
  • Assist the Quality Team in the process of Quality of Advice Audits;
  • Assist the Quality Team in the process of feedback and action plans;
  • Support new Advisers through Quality processes;
  • Help ensure that procedures are fair, for individuals and the organisation as a whole;
  • Help ensure procedures are written in a friendly, easily understood format;
  • Participate and support the work of the Advice NI quality sub group 
  • Where relevant to your role, you will avail of online training and information provided by Advice NI and external organisations.
  • You will be provided with resources to help you with this, these include:
    • Internal training on Case Recording and Quality of Advice Audits;
    • Assessor Workshops;
    • One to One support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Manager;
    • Ongoing support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Team;
    • Ongoing support and guidance from Advice NI Quality Sub Group;

We will provide ongoing training and support and can provide IT equipment for you to undertake the role.
