Training Team Achievements Jan to Dec 2021

As 2021 draws to a close, Advice NI’s training team have continued to adapt to an ever changing world with new methods of delivering and new courses. Advice NI Training continues to be the gold standard for advice training in Northern Ireland.

  • Implemented a new Training Management System (ARLO) and online payment system to meet online learning needs.
  • Upgraded our Moodle online learning platform to support our online learning delivery, with over 300 active users.
  • Completed delivery of Northern Irelands first Traineeship for Debt Advisers.
  • Developed and delivered a range of new online learning courses including Addictions & Debt and State Pension & Debt and live-online courses including Paper Based Tribunal Representation.
  • Regular review and updating of online learning courses to increase interactivity, bite-size learning chunks, updating content, improving interactivity, development of animations.
  • Provision of over 70 training courses (anytime-online or live-online) including Wiseradviser NI training programme.
  • Over 450 active users on Wiseradviser NI Learning Management System.
  • Delivery of training for the Giles Trust Peer Adviser Programme.
  • Development and delivery of over 15 bespoke training courses.
  • Completion of training for NIACRO’s Northern Ireland Money Supporter’s project.
  • Completion of project funded by DfC to train 20 Financial Wellbeing Champions.
  • Development and delivery of specialist level training with Subject Matter Experts, including Business Debts in Practice.
  • Review of the draft Level 4 Independent Advocacy Qualification for City & Guilds to ensure fir for purpose for Northern Ireland.
  • Redevelopment of the Adviser NI qualification to a Level 4 Extended Certificate in Providing Social Security Advice and blended learning course.
  • Research into internal Coaching and mentoring strategy.
  • Re-development of quality standard resources to reflect sector changes and updates, including the NIAQS Framework for CPD in the Advice Sector.
  • Quality processes maintained and developed including Organisation Centre Handbook and style guides, maintenance of assessment centre status and quality standards.
