Tell us about your job

My role is Training Manager here at Advice NI, where I’m overseeing the operational day-to-day delivery of training to our learners. It’s definitely not just limited to that though – I love the variety in my role and getting to meet many different people

Why Advice NI?

For me, Advice NI is an organisation that almost everyone in Northern Ireland knows, it has a great reputation for being the best and the team deliver such a vast range of training to many different people and organisations, I felt that it would be a great fit for me. As well as this, Advice NI has a great culture and really care about their staff which I found really appealing.

What’s the best part of your job?

Definitely the fact that it’s fast paced and every day is different. For example if a new request for training comes in or legislation changes, we need to be on that getting content up to date immediately to ensure we are providing the best possible service – I really enjoy that!

Tell me something about yourself that we don’t know

I am a huge fan of aviation and am hoping to get my private pilot’s licence one day in the future. I also really love cooking, but I’m definitely not a natural!

What are you looking forward to most over the next year?

I am really looking forward to developing new courses at Advice NI and building relationships within the sector – and hopefully just generally making a difference. Outside of work, I am really looking forward to a holiday abroad as it feels like it has been forever.
