New Member Spotlight - Advice Services Skeoge (ASK)

Advice NI would like to welcome our newest member, Advice Services Skeoge (ASK)

ASK provide welfare and housing advice and support in the outer north area of Derry.

This area is one of the most deprived in Northern Ireland and has grown with over 4,000 new houses in the last few years.

The ASK Project will complement existing services and support those most in need to obtain the benefits and financial stability they need. The ASK project will be located within the Well Being Village (WBV) within Ballyarnett DEA/outer north/Galliagh area of Derry.

The project will help meet increased need amongst the most impoverished and vulnerable residents and tenants in the area, for welfare and housing advice services and provide additional wraparound support. ASK complements other community services that currently operate from within the Wellbeing Village. Such as the Good Morning North West (GMNW) telephone service for older and vulnerable people, mental health and physical activity wellbeing programmes/initiatives/service and the wider area, such as the local Men's Shed, Health and Cultural Projects, Men's Projects, intergenerational programmes and activities for women.
