Job opportunity - Deputy Head of Welfare Services
WAVE Trauma Centre are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Welfare Services, the post has the potential to be located in any of their 5 centres: Armagh, Ballymoney, Belfast, Derry~Londonderry, Omagh.
The Post Holder will assist with leading the team of Welfare Rights Officers who deliver a comprehensive one-to-one welfare rights service to those bereaved, injured and/or traumatised as a result of the ‘Troubles’, to survivors of Historic Institutional Abuse (HIA) and Mother and Baby Magdelene Laundry and Workhouses (MBMLW) They will also help to oversee the team of Welfare Rights Officers and trainees who are engaging with the Victims Payment Board (VPB) in relation to the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme (TPDPS.) The post holder will further assist in co-ordination and management of our regional Welfare Advice service across all our Centres, ensuring quality standards are maintained and a victim centred service is provided in line with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Salary: £33,820 per annum
Location: This post has the potential to be located in any of their 5 centres: Armagh, Ballymoney, Belfast, Derry Londonderry, Omagh (dependent on the successful candidate’s preferred location)
