Image removed.Staff stepped the equivalent of walking from Belfast to Dublin 40 times over in the month of June.

All staff made a real effort including lunchtime walks, extra evening strolls, holiday rambles , even jogging on the spot in car parks, airports and at home. The team really enjoyed the exercise and definitely got a little bit fitter for the summer.

Our step stars were;
The most steps walked in a day- 42,332: Alasdair Sim

The most steps walked overall was 478505: Joanne McCoy

Next, 3 staff are taking to County Down to complete the challenging Mournes 7 Peak Challenge at the start of September. They have been training hard for weeks and are ready for the hard work, endurance and determination required.

PIPS Charity delivers Suicide Prevention and Bereavement Support Services, Counselling and Therapies across Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland. PIPS receives no central funding which in turn means there are no restrictions or conditions on our services. They are currently operating with 2 full time and 3 part time staff members and over 70 volunteers and therefore keen to increase awareness and raise vital funds to continue to deliver life-saving work.  They operate a walk in service, no appointment needed, open Mon, Wed & Fri 9am – 9pm; Tues & Thurs 9-5pm; Sat & Sun 2-6pm.

The PIPS support line is 0800 088 6042.
