Tax Credits were introduced in April 2003 and are administered by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). There are two Tax Credits offering financial support; Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
Details of the Working Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit rates and thresholds are available on the HMRC website.
HMRC has a Tax Credits Calculator that can help work out how much you are entitled to.
HMRC's Childcare Indicator Calculator will help you work out whether or not you are better off with childcare vouchers.
