How do I get involved?

Advice NI received the Investors in People award in December 2004 having sucessfully adapted its internal management systems in line with the requirements of the award.

Official presentation ceremonies took place in Spring 2005 involving Will Haire, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Employment and Learning and Alan Shannon Permanent Secretary at the Department for Social Development.

Member involvement has been maximised in a number of ways:

  • The revision of Advice NI membership criteria has enabled the quality assurance work to impact on the entire membership.
  • A Quality Assurance Working Group has been formed within the membership to ensure that the quality assurance work is responsive to the needs of members. This Group is made up of over one third of the membership.
  • Advice NI has been able to offer participation on two IiP Group Contracting schemes. Through these schemes fifteen member organisations have been given the opportunity to work towards achieving the Investors in People standard.
