Advice NI invited to give evidence to House of Commons Treasury Sub-committee
As announced on 26 October 2005, the Treasury Sub-Committee has agreed to undertake an inquiry into the administration of Tax Credits. Kevin Higgins from Advice NI and Caryl Williamson from Age Concern travelled to London to give oral evidence.
Advice NI ran an e-consultation on Tax Credit Overpayments in 2005 inviting those who had been affected in any way to participate. A report Tax Credit Overpayments - the Road to Recovery recorded the impact that the overpayments issue was having on advisers and their clients.
