10 YEAR CELEBRATIONS
Advice NI's AGM and 10th Anniversary Celebrations, attended by over 100 people, took place on Friday 9th December. The AGM included the launch of the new Membership Profile Report, the launch of the new website and the background to the Strategy for Supporting Delivery of Voluntary Advice Services to the Community by Roy McGivern from the Community Support Team, VAU. There were words of congratulations from Steve Johnson, Chief Executive, Advice UK and a history of Advice NI from Katie Hanlon, Director, Ballynafeigh Community Development Association. Attendees had the opportunity to discuss the future of the advice sector in a series of workshops:
- Creating an ideal infrastructure for advice service delivery in NI
- Resourcing the advice sector in NI
- Ensuring quality advice service provision
- Improving co-operation and minimising duplication of service
before joining in a celebratory lunch.
